It’s difficult to comprehend in today’s market that any financial institution could pay 7.50% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) on a checking account. Well Brotherhood Credit Union is doing this to thank you for your long time loyalty with us in conjunction with our 75th anniversary celebration. So what’s the catch? It’s quite simple; * if you currently have a checking account with BCU you need to notify us that you would like this preferred rate. Also you must complete two out of the following three requirements: you must either use your debit or ATM card (that is attached to your Diamond Checking Account) at least 4 times at a Point of Sale terminal (POS) during a statement cycle, have direct deposit (to your Diamond Checking Account), and/or use BCU’s on-line banking at least once a month. The rate of 7.50% APY will only be paid on the first $1,934.00 (as we were established in 1934), any excess balance will revert to the current checking account rate. This rate will be guaranteed until May 7, 2010.

This great rate is also available to your friends and family who are not currently members or to those who do not currently have a checking account with BCU.
