How secure is the Bill Pay?

When you come to the Bill Pay site, a secure connection is established that prevents any outside parties from viewing transaction information. Any data that is transferred between locations is also made over secure connections, utilizing data encryption, and all account information is kept behind a firewall to prevent any outside access.

A security key feature was also designed to protect you from phishing scams. This is not a password, and you will never have to enter it again (after your initial set-up). Once your security key is saved, you will see it phase in and out at the top of your screen every time you log into Bill Pay, along with the last date on which you entered the site. This will be your assurance that this is your authentic Bill Pay account.

Bill Pay’s toll-free support line prompts you with challenges such as the last four digits of your Social Security Number or your date of birth to verify that they are speaking to the correct person to safeguard your personal information.

For security reasons, if you cannot recall your User ID for the Bill Pay site, you will need to contact Brotherhood Credit Union directly. In order to provide you with your User ID, they will need to verify your security information.
